Jerry is an InvestEd director and provides audiovisual support for the conference. A teacher at local, regional, and national events, Jerry is the Vice President of the Space Coast (Florida) Chapter of BetterInvesting. Jerry is a member of the assistant treasurer for the online CGAB Alumni Investment Club.

Brian is an InvestEd director and instructor and provides technical support at the conference. He serves as vice president for education and was chair of the inaugural conference in 2007. A founding member and former president of an investment club, and a former member of the online CGAB Alumni Investment Club, Brian has been a director of the New Jersey Chapter of BetterInvesting since 2000. Professionally, with a BS in mathematics and an MBA in computer systems, he manages a large computer systems department

Don is an InvestEd instructor and is founder and president of the Retirement Investing Institute. An author of five books for individual investors, he has been senior research analyst and media spokesperson for Lipper and a sell-side research analyst for a regional brokerage firm. Don is a member of the CFA Society of Colorado, program chair of the Denver AAII chapter, and a lecturer on investing at several Colorado universities. He earned a BS in Economics cum laude with a finance concentration at the Wharton School, The University of Pennsylvania.

Joe is an InvestEd director and instructor. He is a member of the conference organizing committee, is responsible for the WiFi network, and configures the conference computers. Joe has been a long-time leader in online investing.  Professionally, he is a physicist, but spends most of his time doing website and software development.

Mary Ann, an InvestEd director, is an instructor and co-leader of the Cyber Café and has a passion for teaching at local through national investor events, including at AAII events. She is a founding partner of the Ladies vs. Market Investment Club and a former member of the online CGAB Alumni Investment Club. A graduate of the University of Wisconsin-LaCrosse, Mary Ann also studied at the University of Wisconsin-Madison and at the New York Institute of Finance^™ with Ralph Acampora. Mary Ann is a retired teacher and photographer.

John is an InvestEd instructor who teaches financial classes and mutual fund workshops at local, regional, and national events. Currently, he is a director of the Central Pennsylvania Chapter of BetterInvesting and the treasurer of two investment clubs, including the Centre Region Model Investment Club. Prior to retirement, with advanced degrees in meteorology, John spent 26 years in the Air Force and 16 years as an instructor of meteorology at The Pennsylvania State University.

Sandy is an InvestEd director and volunteer editor. She serves as the InvestEd Inc. secretary, is a member of the curriculum committee, and prepares the general program brochure layout. Sandy is a founding director and the current president of the Coastal Georgia/South Carolina Chapter of BetterInvesting and is a charter member and the current president of a local investment club. She presents introductory investing programs, helps form investment clubs, and teaches stock study classes at local and regional events. Sandy is professor emerita, Georgia Southern University.

Phil is an InvestEd instructor. He has been a professional portfolio manager for over 30 years, is a Chartered Financial Analyst®, and is a founder of the Southeast Florida Chapter of BetterInvesting. Phil is a past president of the Financial Analysts of South Florida and has been honored with The Investment Education Institute’s Distinguished Service Award. He is a graduate of the University of Miami AB Magna Cum Laude and was a NASA Fellow at Purdue University.

Pat is an InvestEd volunteer and serves as Volunteer Coordinator for the conference. She is a past president and current director and vice president of the Northwest Indiana Chapter of BetterInvesting. An individual investor, Pat loves books and collects pop-up books, enjoys travel, and has a passion for the theater. A graduate of Purdue University, prior to retirement she worked for Urschel Laboratories in the role of international sales coordinator.

Judith is an InvestEd director and its lead editor and writer. She previously taught classes and mentored numerous clubs, and she received the first Kenfield-Burris Award for service to the online investing community. She is a founding member and past secretary of the online CGAB Alumni Investment Club. Judith formerly worked and taught in medical diagnostic and research laboratories. She enjoys a variety of music, theater, film, dance, and reading material.

Lynn Ostrem is an InvestEd instructor who formerly served the BetterInvesting Minnesota and Central Iowa chapters by developing and teaching classes. She founded three investment clubs, including the nationally known Crow River Investment Club where she is the current president. Lynn has mentored over 100 club start-ups and has been instrumental in bringing investor education events to her area. When she’s not preparing and teaching classes, Lynn operates a consulting firm specializing in reducing costs for manufacturing facilities.

Jerry is an InvestEd director and instructor, and he served as chair of the 2009 and 2010 conferences. He is a member of the online CGAB Alumni Investment Club and a past president and current director of the Houston Chapter of BetterInvesting. Jerry has taught a number of 401(k) and mutual fund programs at national events. He has been employed in the petrochemical and refining industry for over 35 years and currently is employed by LyondellBasell.

Daniel is an InvestEd instructor. He is an instructional technology specialist for Georgia Southern University with significant experience in technology integration into teaching and learning. Daniel holds a master’s degree in instructional technology and continues professional development in global technology trends and web applications for learning.

Louise is an InvestEd director and instructor. She is the chair of the Newbie Program and has taught classes at many national events. A founding director and past president of the North Carolina Triad Chapter of BetterInvesting, currently Louise teaches classes for the chapter and serves as the education chair. She is a member of the CGAB Alumni Investment Club. A retired high school mathematics teacher, Louise currently tutors high school students.

Saul is an InvestEd advisory director and an instructor. A former vice president for education of InvestEd, he teaches at local through national investor education events. He is a former director and vice president of the Rocky Mountain Chapter of BetterInvesting and is a current member of the online CGAB Alumni Investment Club. With degrees in electrical engineering and law, Saul spent most of his career as a corporate attorney. He is an adjunct professor at Albany Law School in New York.

Brad is an InvestEd instructor, president of Churr Software, author of the Stock Investment Guide (SIG) software, and a founding member of Valley Investment Partners (VIP), an investment club that began in 1990. A rocket scientist in his day job, serving as director of engineering for a government contractor, Brad founded Churr Software to develop stock analysis tools for Mac users, as well as Windows users. He has a BS in electrical engineering and an MS in systems management.

John is a director and instructor and currently serves as president of InvestEd Inc. He teaches basic stock analysis classes at local and national investor education events. John is past president and vice president of the former Minneapolis/St. Paul Chapter of BetterInvesting and is a member of the online CGAB Alumni Investment Club. John loves the outdoors and enjoys archeology surveys in the Arizona Strip, as well as hiking, camping, and canoeing.

Brian is an InvestEd instructor. A mechanical engineer by trade, Brian joined his first investment club in 1994 and currently is a member of two investment clubs. A Dick Dwyer award recipient, he helped start the computer group of BetterInvesting’s  Massachusetts Chapter, served as president, and began teaching with the chapter in 1997. Brian is a volunteer coach, treasurer of the local parent-teacher organization, and often can be found hiking or geocaching in New England with his wife and two children.

Pam is an InvestEd instructor and conference volunteer. She is a founding member and director of the BetterInvesting’s Big Bend Chapter of in Tallahassee and teaches classes at club through national levels. Pam has been a member of an investment club since 1987. She has a BS degree in education from Florida State University and worked in the banking industry. Pam enjoys gardening and traveling and is an active in community volunteer for several organizations.

Randy is an InvestEd director and instructor. He has taught at local through national investor education events and has been a director of the Big Bend Chapter of BetterInvesting since it formed in 1996. Randy is a member of the Big Bend Chapter Model Club and the online CGAB Alumni Investment Club. He has a degree in computer science and is a Florida State University certified webmaster. He enjoys woodworking, and he and his wife Pam travel extensively.

Bart is an InvestEd instructor. He has taught a variety of financial and economic topics at local, regional, and national events. Formerly a director for BetterInvesting’s Tampa Bay Area Chapter, currently Bart is the treasurer of an investment club and has been the president of two clubs. He holds an MBA in economics and finance and has been a college instructor for over 15 years. Bart lives in the Four Corners region of the country where he enjoys some of the best mountains and canyons the nation has to offer.

Pam is an InvestEd director and is the InvestEd conference manager. She has been involved in event planning for many years and has taught at local, regional, and national investor education venues since 1999. Pam is a member of the online CGAB Alumni Investment Club, is a Distinguished Service Award recipient, and enjoys archery.

Zinc is an InvestEd director and instructor. He is a past chair of the InvestEd Newbie Program and has taught stock analysis and portfolio management classes at local, regional, and national investor education events. He holds membership in two investment clubs. Zinc is a life member of the Service Corps of Retired Executives (SCORE^®) and holds master’s degrees in management sciences and business administration.
